FAQ’s
Q: What does a typical day at camp look like?
A: We start camp right as the kids get out of school – as soon as the bell rings it is time to head off to our adventure for the day. We plan our activities around monthly themes (although some days we skip the teaching altogether and just focus on having fun!) We spend our time learning, exploring and playing. Generally, we are at the beach, at a state or local park, or in the nearby redwoods. We provide a healthy snack (apples, popcorn, etc.) and plenty of water for the kids as well. As the day draws to a close, we head back to our designated drop off location. (We also offer home drop offs for an additional monthly fee – just let us know if you are interested, and we can accommodate.)
Q. What are the plans for inclement weather?
A. when the weather is just drippy or foggy, we usually carry on our adventures as usual! We have ponchos (and a rainy day stash of hot cocoa!) If the weather is downright dastardly, we take the kids to a local museum or indoor play area at no extra cost to you!
Q. When am I billed?
A. We bill the first week of the month, one month in advance. Camping trips are billed and paid for separately.
Q. How do I pay my bill?
A: You will be emailed an invoice. From there, you can pay by credit card or bank transfer. If you prefer, we also accept checks.
Q. My child is gluten free/ vegan/ etc.. can you accommodate?
A. Yes! Just let us know and we will be sure to have a snack that all can enjoy.
Q. What if my child is sick, or has to miss a day?
Absences are understandable – if you would like your bill to be prorated to reflect any planned absences, we must be notified at the beginning of the billing period (first week of the month.) If your child has an unplanned absence or is ill, please notify us as soon as possible so we can account for the absence. If the absence is unplanned, we do not offer a refund.
